4 Sets of 25 Ton Mooring Winches Shipped to UAE

A customer in the United Arab Emirates sent a request for a 25-ton electric mooring winch to our company at the end of August 2022. After receiving the quotation, he immediately confirmed the relevant parameters of the product with the customer (single drum + single winch type, normal speed, drum capacity, power load, holding load, rope diameter, voltage), and a preliminary quotation was made.

What is a mooring winch?

The mooring winch can also operate effectively when the ship is berthed or docked and has many functions such as drifting, supporting, and positioning during loading and unloading, and at the same time compensates for vibration with constant tension adjustment deviation. Mooring winches installed on shore for loading or unloading moored vessels are an example of an application for the constant tension adjustment feature.

In early September 2022, customers put forward new requirements:

1. The minimum production time of the winch is 30 days, and it also needs to be accompanied by ABS certification;

2. The protection level should be at least IP56, (representing electrical appliances that can be installed on the deck to prevent damage caused by intrusion.)

In addition, the required details of the product were finalized with the customer:

1. Whether the wire rope is on the upper drum or the lower drum;

2. The motor has stepless speed regulation and the mooring winch has a manual clutch.

3. Whether the barge deck is equipped with a base for fixing the winch, etc.

Furthermore, since this customer has strict requirements on delivery time, we remind the customer that the ABS certificate has strict regulations and processes from design drawings, actual production, and testing, to provide the certificate.

After confirming the above product details and confirming the production design drawings, our company received the customer's payment information in mid-September;
