Successful début in South Africa: The first fully electric complete bus has been officially handed over in Cape Town in the form of the Lion's Explorer E, representing a significant step towards safer, quieter and cleaner mobility for all. The eBus is based on the new Lion‘s Chassis E. What makes this vehicle special is the fact that it was completely developed and built in South Africa. This approach means that the Lion's Explorer E is optimally tailored to the requirements of the South African market and can help to promote electromobility there.

Thanks to our knowledge and expertise gained with the MAN Lion’s City E, we already have the required know-how to implement this goal with our eBus chassis. The first pre-series models are to be delivered as early as , and the start of series production of the new MAN eBus chassis at the Starachowice plant in Poland is planned from . The MAN Lion’s City E – for which more than 1,000 orders have been received to date – is also manufactured there.
MAN RR8 + GEMILANG – THE SUCCESS STORY IN HONG KONG CONTINUESMAN Hong Kong introduces a new intercity bus based on MAN design: the MAN RR8 + GEMILANG. This vehicle concept – cleverly using an aluminium alloy – consistently continues MAN’s success story of design and quality in the Hong Kong market. With its dimensions deliberately chosen between low and high floor chassis and up to 65 seats, the MAN RR8 + GEMILANG makes travelling more comfortable for its passengers and more efficient for its operators. The new bus generation is mainly used for shuttle and school bus services – by Kwoon Chung, one of the largest non-franchised bus operators in Hong Kong.
MAN RR8 chassis available in Australia with new Marcopolo bodyWorld premiere: In Australia, the reliable RR8 chassis from MAN is now available with the Audace body from body manufacturer Marcopolo. The new chassis and body combination impresses with its quality and versatility and is ideal as a coach, school bus or for intercity use. The bus is powered by the MAN D15 Euro 6 engine of the latest generation, which can contribute to higher efficiency and passenger capacity thanks to its lower weight. In addition, customers benefit from the broad service network of the local body manufacturer Volgren, which belongs to the Marcopolo company.
81 MAN BUSES STRENGTHEN STCP FLEET IN PORTOThe Porto public transport company STCP uses the entire urban transport ecosystem to provide competitive and environmentally friendly solutions as an alternative to private transport. For a sustainable future, STCP has now invested in 81 natural gas buses – 62 MAN A22 CNG Low Floor chassis and 19 MAN A69 CNG Low Entry chassis. Thanks to their unlimited versatility, MAN bus chassis can meet almost any requirement. This allowed to equip both variants with a body manufactured entirely in Portugal by Caetano Bus.
70 NATURAL GAS BUSES AND 33 MINIBUSES FOR LISBON’S URBAN TRANSPORT SYSTEMCARRIS, the largest Portuguese public transport company based in Lisbon, has comprehensively and sustainably strengthened its fleet by acquiring 70 natural gas buses and 33 minibuses. With the goal of urban CO2 reduction, environmentally friendly vehicles are becoming increasingly crucial – one reason why the CNG bus model MAN A69 19.310 LE was chosen and combined with a body manufactured by Irmãos Mota. This model ensures enough autonomy in daily operation while reducing harmful particles – thus perfectly matching CARRIS’ principles of quality without compromising on sustainability.
With four double-decker buses from Aviv to Rishon LezionIn Israel, the customer EGGED ordered four MAN RR4 chassis with 430 hp Euro 6d engine and automatic ZF Ecolife gearbox, which are being tested on a rural route from Aviv to Rishon Lezion. The buses – with superstructures provided by the Spanish company UNVI – have a total capacity of 85 passengers - with 74 seats, standing room for 10 passengers, and room for one wheelchair. A two-stair configuration allows for comfortable passenger flow between both decks.

LTA Singapore introduces three-door double-decker busesThe buses are equipped with a second staircase and an additional exit door at the rear of the bus to improve commuter flow. Thanks to the extra staircase, passengers boarding the bus can enter the upper deck while commuters alighting the bus use the second staircase to access the lower deck. The additional exit door allows passengers to alight at the rear instead of having to move to the middle of the bus. The superstructures for the double-decker buses were built onto an A95 chassis by the Malaysian company Gemilang.
Premiere: first MAN bus compliant with Euro 6 in AustraliaAs of late, Australia's roads are home to the first coach based on a Euro 6 compliant MAN chassis. One of the main tasks of the modern vehicle is to transport winter sports enthusiasts to the skiing regions of New South Wales.
